Job Description

We are a well-established medical centre currently operating in St Albans (MM1) and have recently opened a new medical centre in Ballan (MM5). We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our team immediately.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a regional MM5 position, with strong patient demand, flexible working options, and the opportunity to provide care to aged care facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centred primary medical care to individuals and families across all age groups
Conduct clinical consultations, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
Perform preventive health care, health assessments, care plans, and health education
Prescribe medications and order/interprete diagnostic tests in accordance with best clinical practice and relevant guidelines
Manage chronic disease programs, including care planning and multidisciplinary coordination
Provide aged care services, including regular visits, assessments, and ongoing care for residents (where applicable)
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records using electronic medical systems
Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and practice meetings as required
Work collaboratively with practice nurses, allied health professionals, specialists, and administrative staff
Comply with AHPRA standards, Medicare requirements, and all relevant healthcare regulations
