Elite Star Motors is a leading automotive service centre located in Truganina. We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Motor Mechanic to join our expert team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance for a wide range of passenger vehicles and light trucks. Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics: Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts using advanced computerised diagnostic equipment.
Mechanical Repairs: Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components to repair or replace worn parts.
Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, tune-ups) ensuring compliance with Australian pollution and safety regulations.
Testing: Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Compliance: Inspect vehicles and prepare detailed reports for Roadworthy Certificates (RWC) or specify necessary repairs for compliance.
Workshop Safety: Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards and maintain a clean workspace.
Skill & Experience
Qualifications: Minimum AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent international qualification recognized by TRA).
Work Experience: At least 2–3 years of full-time post-qualification experience in an automotive workshop setting.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake systems, suspension, and electronic fuel injection systems.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work autonomously, and excellent attention to detail.
English Proficiency: Effective verbal and written English communication skills for client and team interaction.
License: Must hold a valid Australian or recognized international Driver’s License.
