Position Summary: The Food and Retail Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing our food production operations, ensuring that they align with the strategic objectives of the company while meeting the quality and service expectations of our partners. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of the food service industry, strong managerial skills, and the ability to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food production and retail services operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity across all service areas.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of food production staff, retail associates, and support personnel.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key clients, including Woolworths and various restaurant partners, ensuring that their needs and expectations are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored catering menus and product offerings that align with their market preferences and consumer trends.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure all products meet the highest standards of safety, freshness, and taste.
  • Conduct regular audits of production processes and retail setups, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that boost sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Participate in trade shows, food festivals, and industry events to promote the company’s services and products

Skill & Experience

  • At least a bachelor’s degree level of qualifications.
  • At least 3 years of experience in food production, retail services, or food service management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, as well as experience with quality control processes in food production.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to develop and motivate diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
  • Dedicated to customer service and relationship management.
