Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Operator to join our powder manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for safely operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure consistent product quality, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and control equipment performing continuous and batch powder processes
  • Prepare, measure, and feed raw materials, active ingredients, catalysts, excipients, and other processing agents according to established formulations
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product quality, consistency, and yield
  • Patrol and inspect plant equipment, identify malfunctions, and report issues for maintenance
  • Collect and analyse samples and instrument readings to verify product specifications
  • Maintain detailed production records, including batch information, blending operations, and equipment performance logs
  • Assist with start-up, shutdown, and cleaning of plant equipment
  • Coordinate tasks within the production team to ensure smooth operations and safe work practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant performance and reduce downtime
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations

Skill & Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience operating powder processing equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience coordinating a small production team
  • Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental compliance requirements in regulated manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to operations
  • Hands-on and practical, with the ability to follow procedures and maintain high-quality standards
