Job Description

At Camp Australia, children are at the centre of everything we do, guiding their growth before school, after school, and during the holidays. At our service in Shailor Park you’ll create a safe, welcoming space where children can relax, have fun, and flourish.

In this role, you’ll design and maintain an engaging, safe, and compliant program. Plan exciting daily activities for primary-aged Children. Prepare and serve delicious, healthy snacks, and build meaningful relationships with children, families, and the local school community.

ABOUT YOU

  • Enthusiastic, engaging approach to childcare with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Completed or working towards a childcare-related Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Working with Children Check  (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates (or willingness to obtain).
  • National Child Safety Training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability from 7:00 am – 9:00 am and 2:50 pm – 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Valid Child Protection training Certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Service Leader role supports our school partnerships and the families who entrust their children to our
care. You will support the Service Leader (responsible person) to deliver the onsite educational program, acting as a
senior educator (second in charge). Reporting to the Service Leader, you will apply your technical knowledge and
experience in OSHC to help guide educators and implement the approved learning frameworks, including the CA Way.
You are an active team member who educates and cares for the children who use the program and guides children’s
growth role modelling our Camp Australia values and behaviours that support each child to grow and achieve their
developmental outcomes.

Skill & Experience

  • Enthusiastic, engaging approach to childcare with strong relationship-building skills.
