Key Responsibilities

Role Description

This contract on-site role for a Support Worker is based in Maroubra, NSW. The position is for every Monday, up to 10hrs per shift with additional stand-in shifts available. Responsibilities include providing compassionate care and support to an individual male, whilst promoting his independence and well-being. The role involves assisting the client with daily living activities inclusive of cooking and maintaining his home environment, supporting the client to attend appointments, maintaining a safe and respectful environment, and fostering strong interpersonal connections. The Personal Support Worker will collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive and effective care, while adhering to safeguarding and ethical guidelines to meet the highest standards of service.

Skill & Experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in Support Work, including assisting individuals in their daily routines and facilitating independence.

  • Experience in working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities.

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills to foster trust, empathy, and effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Knowledge of Safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

  • Excellent Communication skills for clear and respectful interaction with diverse individuals and teams.

  • Familiarity with Technical Support tools and systems to maintain records and support client needs effectively.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic environments.

  • Drivers license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

  • Must have all required NDIS Worker checks and documentation.

  • First Aid certification and knowledge of workplace safety procedures are highly desirable.

  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
