Aged & Disability Care Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with their day-to-day routines, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal care tasks, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and independence at all times.

• Help clients move safely around their home or community, including transfers from bed to chair, walking, or using mobility aids, while providing encouragement and maintaining safety at all times.

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals based on clients’ dietary needs and preferences, while assisting with feeding if required, promoting healthy eating habits, and supporting overall wellbeing.

• Organize and participate in social, recreational, and leisure activities that promote mental stimulation, physical activity, and social interaction, helping clients stay active and engaged.

• Offer empathetic listening, conversation, and emotional support to clients, building trust, reducing feelings of isolation, and fostering a warm and friendly environment.

• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and general tidying.

• Support clients by running errands, such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, or other essential tasks, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and reliably.

• Provide round-the-clock care and assistance for clients who require live-in support, offering continuity of care, companionship, and ensuring their health, safety, and comfort at all times.
