Are you a passionate and experienced Chef looking for an exciting opportunity to display your skills in a dynamic and modern kitchen? The Resistance is currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our team in Hawthorn. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern Australian cuisine, with the ability to incorporate international flavours and techniques. You will play a key role in menu development, food preparation, and keeping ambitious standards of quality and presentation, contributing to the continued success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help the senior/Head Chef in planning and executing a diverse menu, specialising in American cuisines.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards are consistently met.
  • Help with inventory control, food ordering, and stock management.
  • Monitor kitchen operations and provide hands-on support during peak hours.
  • Develop and refine recipes to enhance the dining experience.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health regulations.
  • Prepare, Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven at-least 1 year experience as a Chef, preferably in American cuisines
  • Relevant Diploma & Certificates needed.
  • Strong knowledge of American cooking techniques, and food presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
