Jamaica Blue Ellenbrook is looking for full-time chefs to join our team.

Successful applicants are expected to support the continued growth of Jamaica Blue Ellenbrook through the preparation and delivery of high-quality cafe meals ,while maintaing food safety,consistency,and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing, cooking, garnishing, and presenting a wide range of breakfast dishes, lunch items, desserts, and catering orders in accordance with brand standards and recipes.
Assisting management in reviewing menu offerings and providing recommendations for seasonal specials, promotional items.
Ensuring all food is prepared and presented consistently in accordance with franchise specifications, quality standards.
Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, plating, and service activities to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high food standards.
Training and mentoring cooks and kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking procedures, and workplace hygiene requirements.
Estimating food requirements, controlling stock levels, ordering ingredients, and liaising with approved suppliers to ensure the availability of quality products.
Monitoring food and labour costs, minimising wastage.
Assisting with the recruitment, induction, training, and performance supervision of kitchen staff.
Ensuring food is stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and Western Australian health requirements.
Inspecting kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency, and arranging maintenance .
Maintaining records relating to food production, stock control, food safety compliance.
