We are looking for chefs to join our teams at Pocket Bar & Stitch Bar.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Service
Prepare, cook and present menu items to a high standard and in line with venue recipes and specifications.
Ensure all dishes are delivered in a timely manner during service periods.
Maintain consistency in portion sizes, presentation, and quality.
Kitchen Operations
Assist in the daily operation of the kitchen including prep, service, and pack down.
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and operating efficiently at all times.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.
Food Safety & Compliance
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with NSW Food Authority guidelines.
Ensure correct storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Menu Development
Contribute ideas for menu development, specials, and seasonal dishes.
Work with management to improve menu offerings and kitchen efficiency.
Teamwork
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Support junior kitchen staff and maintain a positive team culture.
Cost Control
Minimise food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
Follow portion control and cost management guidelines.
Skill & Experience
Proven experience working as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
Experience with stock control, food preparation planning, and minimising waste.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Relevant culinary qualifications and Food Safety certification (desirable).
