Job Description

Simmons Bakery is a privately owned Australian company conveniently situated in Biloela. We are committed to providing exceptional food services and quality products to our customers.

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Cook to join our team at our restaurant located in Biloela. We offer competitive remuneration based on experience and skill level.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect food items to ensure freshness and quality
Control temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes and baked items
Add seasoning and ingredients during the cooking process
Portion meals, plate dishes, and add sauces, gravies, and garnishes
Store food in appropriate temperature-controlled environments
Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements
Assist in menu planning and estimating food requirements
Support the training and supervision of kitchen staff and apprentices
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen

Skill & Experience

Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification required
Minimum 1 year relevant work experienceas a Cook preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to workplace health and safety protocols
