Ready to Step Into a High-Standard Dental Role in Newtown?

We’re hiring a confident Dental Assistant/Receptionist to start immediately in our award-winning clinic.
This is a combined role for someone who can move seamlessly between chairside and front desk, while delivering a polished, welcoming patient experience.
Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (May), transitioning to Tuesdays only from early June.

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians chairside during a wide range of dental procedures with efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Deliver a warm, polished, and high-standard patient experience from arrival to departure
• Manage front desk responsibilities including patient check-ins, phone enquiries, appointment scheduling, recalls, and daily coordination
• Process HICAPS and patient payments accurately and confidently
• Use EXACT dental software proficiently for appointments, clinical notes, patient communication, and treatment coordination
• Maintain exceptional infection control and sterilisation standards throughout the clinic
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure the practice remains clean, organised, and presentation-ready at all times
• Communicate clearly and confidently with patients and team members
• Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and support the smooth day-to-day flow of the practice
• Take initiative, problem-solve independently, and contribute positively to our award-winning team culture

Skill & Experience

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Dental Receptionist in a fast-paced dental practice
• Strong proficiency using EXACT dental software is essential
• Confident processing HICAPS payments and managing patient transactions accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional manner
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently across chairside and front desk duties
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-focused in a busy clinical setting
• Professional presentation and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude and willingness to embrace new systems and processes
• Sound understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols
• A hospitable, switched-on, and initiative-driven approach aligned with a high-standard practice culture
