Full-time

As a full-time cook, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our expectations for taste, presentation and consistency. You must have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare, cook and season a variety of menu items according to standardised recipes and specifications.
* Monitor food portions and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
* Utilise various cooking methods, including grilling, frying, baking, and sautéing, to ensure that food is cooked to perfection and meets quality standards.
* Ensure that ingredients are stocked and stored properly to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
* Conduct regular inspections of food products to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
* Monitor food temperatures and cooking times throughout the preparation process.
* Adhere to dietary requirements, allergies and specific customer requests when preparing meals.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including equipment cleaning, and sanitation procedures. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations and timely food service. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate food preparation and delivery.
* Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
 

Skill & Experience

Skills and requirements
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* At least 3 years experience in relevant role
* Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
