OneStep Group is seeking an ICT Support Engineer / Service Desk Consultant to join our Melbourne-based service delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced professionals and support customers across mobility, systems, and infrastructure services.
As part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support, resolving system issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience across a range of services and technologies.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ICT Support Engineer will support service delivery activities including incident management, request fulfilment, and technical troubleshooting across mobility and IT systems.
The role involves working closely with customers to resolve technical issues, maintain service quality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational standards and best practices.
This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative support team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of ICT support services, including:
• Incident and service request management (Level 1–2 support)
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and mobility services
• Supporting desktops, operating systems, email, and connectivity issues
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices
• Systems monitoring and issue identification
Additional responsibilities include:
• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email within SLA timeframes
• Provide clear communication and regular updates to customers and stakeholders
• Perform account administration and service changes
• Document incidents, solutions, and technical procedures
• Assist in system testing and validation activities
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional service delivery
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues
Skill & Experience
We are looking for candidates with experience in ICT support, helpdesk, or service desk environments.
Key skills include:
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting desktops, applications, and end-user environments
• Knowledge of networking, internet, and email systems
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems and SLA-based support
• Ability to analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Preferred Experience
• Experience supporting telecommunications or mobility services (e.g. Telstra or similar)
• Exposure to system testing, QA processes, or technical documentation
• Relevant IT certifications or equivalent practical experience
