Key Responsibilities

Assess project requirements by reviewing plans and inspecting surfaces to determine materials, tools and scope of work.
Erect and secure scaffolding, ladders and platforms, ensuring protection of surrounding areas and safe access.
Remove, cover and protect fixtures, fittings and adjacent surfaces to prevent damage during painting works.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping and repairing defects such as cracks, holes and damaged woodwork.
Apply primers, sealants and undercoats to ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting finishes.
Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve required colours and finishes according to specifications.
Apply paints, stains and coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment for high-quality results.
Operate spray guns and specialised tools, and carry out decorative finishes including textures and custom effects.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including waste management, hazard identification, and proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Follow workplace health and safety standards, use PPE, adopt environmentally responsible practices, collaborate with team members, and report hazards or incidents as required.

Skill & Experience

Certificate III in Painting and Decoration or equivalent qualification in the field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant painting and decorating experience in a similar role
Must hold a valid driver’s licence and be willing to travel to different job sites

Job Location
