Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, supervising staff, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality meals. The Sous Chef will assist in menu planning, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to maintain high performance
Ensure all food is prepared to the required quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
Contribute to menu planning, costing, and inventory management
Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and kitchen safety policies
Assist in scheduling staff and coordinating kitchen workflow
Skill & Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen
Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (certification preferred)
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
