Asia.
Role Overview
As a Full-Stack VR Programme Developer at Mindflight7, you will report directly to our Director of Development.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of our standalone VR applications, from interpreting technical designs and building features in Unity, to testing, debugging, and deploying real-world solutions. You will collaborate with a cross-functional
team of educators, designers, and developers, ensuring that our apps are reliable, accessible, and engaging for English and Chinese speaking students globally.

Application Development: Interpret technical specifications, design documentation, and flowcharts to construct, modify, and maintain Unity-based VR applications.
Feature Building: Build and test functional, user-friendly features for standalone VR headsets (e.g., Meta Quest, Pico).
Performance Optimization: Optimize performance and ensure smooth user experiences in real-world school environments.
Collaboration: Collaborate with educational content creators to align technical features with learning goals.
Documentation: Construct and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and deployment.
Deployment & Support: Assist with deployment and updates across school-owned VR devices. Provide on-the-ground or remote support during pilots and rollouts,including those in Chinese-speaking regions.
Travel: This role will require you to travel domestically, regionally, and internationally from time to time.
Promotion (Preferred): Contribute to product promotion through Chinese social media or video platforms.
Skill & Experience
Requirements
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Unity and C# programming.
Basic to advanced experience in Virtual Reality application development.
Knowledge of VR-specific SDKs and APIs.
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for standalone VR.
Understanding of VR hardware specifications and limitations, particularly for standalone headsets like Meta Quest and Pico.
Professional Skills
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including writing, testing, and maintaining clean and scalable code.
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
Languages
Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (Required).
Additional Experience (an Advantage)
3D modeling and rendering skills using tools like Blender, SketchUp, or Autodesk.
Experience with Chinese social media platforms (e.g., WeChat, Weibo, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu) or promotional video content creation.
Familiarity with educational technology platforms or experience in the edtech industry.
