Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused waiting staff to join our front-of-house team at our busy beachside venue. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a waiter or waitress, you will be responsible for delivering friendly, professional service and ensuring every guest has a positive dining experience.

Duties include greeting and seating guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving meals and drinks, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with general venue presentation. You will use the POS system to process orders and payments, and work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service throughout each shift.

Successful applicants will be well presented, reliable and able to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak periods. Weekend and public holiday availability is essential. Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering friendly, efficient and professional service to all guests. Your role will include greeting customers warmly, taking food and beverage orders accurately, and ensuring meals and drinks are delivered in a timely manner. You will provide menu knowledge and make recommendations when required, helping to create a positive dining experience for every guest.

You will be responsible for clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the dining areas, and assisting with opening and closing duties. Processing payments using the POS system and handling cash accurately will form part of your role. You will work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and clear communication at all times.

Adhering to RSA requirements, food safety standards, workplace health and safety procedures, and company policies is essential. Flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach are key to success in this role.

Skill & Experience

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hospitality or customer service, however this is not essential as full training will be provided. You will have a friendly, approachable manner and enjoy engaging with customers to deliver a high standard of service. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to listen, take accurate orders and work effectively as part of a team.

You must be reliable, punctual and well presented, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure is important, particularly during busy service periods. Good time management and attention to detail are required to ensure efficient service and a clean, well-maintained venue.

Availability to work weekends, public holidays and peak periods is essential. A strong work ethic and passion for hospitality will be highly regarded.
