Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and residential projects, collaborating closely with clients, architects, builders, consultants, and suppliers from concept development through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with clients and project stakeholders to understand project objectives, design preferences, operational requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Develop innovative interior design concepts that balance functionality, aesthetics, practicality, and user experience.
Analyse spatial layouts and propose solutions that optimise the use, flow, accessibility, and overall performance of interior environments.
Prepare concept boards, material palettes, mood boards, design presentations, and detailed documentation for client review and approval.
Produce high-quality drawings, 3D models, renderings, and visual presentations using industry-standard design software.
Select and specify finishes, fixtures, fittings, furniture, lighting, and decorative elements that align with project requirements and design intent.
Prepare detailed interior design documentation and construction drawings suitable for project delivery and construction.
Coordinate with architects, builders, engineers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure design outcomes are accurately implemented.
Assist in the development of design solutions that comply with relevant building regulations, standards, accessibility requirements, and industry best practices.
Review project progress during construction and provide design support to maintain consistency with approved plans and specifications.
Design custom joinery, cabinetry, and bespoke interior features where required to complement overall project concepts.

Skill & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Interior Design or a related field.
Proven experience working on commercial, residential, fit-out, or mixed-use projects.
Proficiency in CAD and 3D visualisation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, material selection, and construction documentation.
Knowledge of Australian building regulations, standards, and industry practices.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative mindset combined with practical problem-solving abilities.
