Job Description

As a Chef, you’ll be taking control of the kitchen, preparing and presenting authentic Thai dishes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who master the art of Thai cooking and contribute to a dynamic, culturally rich kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs.
Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients.
Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and adapt to changes in the menu or special dietary requirements.
Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages, from initial preparation to final presentation and portion control.
Train and supervise kitchen staff, as well as advising on advanced cooking techniques and procedures.
Work with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
Always follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
Provide excellent communication with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Skill & Experience

At least one year of previous experience as a Chef is required.
Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification in relevant field is preferred.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
