Our Client Archibald Racing Pty Ltd is seeking four experienced Horse Trainers to join their team located in Warwick Farm NSW 2170. This role involves riding, training and caring for thoroughbred racehorses, monitoring their fitness and preparing them for racing in a safe and professional manner.

About Company

Archibald Racing is a renowned Australian thoroughbred racing stable based in Warwick Farm, NSW. The business specialises in the training, development, and management of racehorses, with a strong reputation for excellence, horse welfare, and achieving outstanding racing results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ride 8–10 horses per morning, with particular emphasis on pace work, timed work and jump-outs.
  • Educate and train young horses on the ground, while undertaking responsibility for a team and barn of horses.
  • Apply horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing to develop and maintain race fitness and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with trainers, forepersons and stable staff by receiving instructions and providing information and guidance as required.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of daily stable and training activities.
  • Operate all equipment safely and correctly and ensure the appropriate use of personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Comply with workplace health and safety obligations and safely operate equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses.
  • Monitor horse fitness, behaviour and performance and report any issues affecting training progress, health or racing performance.
  • Feed, groom, saddle and provide general care to racehorses to maintain their health, wellbeing and presentation.

Skill & Experience

Applicants must hold a relevant qualification and at least 2 years of full-time experience as a Horse Trainer or in a closely related thoroughbred racing role.
