Key Responsibilities
About the Role:
This role will involve the execution of the following duties and responsibilities but are not limited:
· Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed.
· Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennas.
· Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment
· Attaching wires and cables to appliances
· Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments.
· Installing cabling for telephone, radio and computer transmission.
· Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic
· Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment.
· Installing and maintaining equipment for 4G, and 5G technologies.
· Installation and Terminating Hybriflex Cables & Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, and combiners ove the towers.
· Installation, Testing and commissioning of Microwave dishes, panning, alignment, and full installs.
Skill & Experience
Successful candidates will have the following
· TPG, Telstra, and Optus 3G/4G/5G experience highly regarded.
· 2 years of work experience within the Telecommunication industry.
· Experienced in Nokia and Ericsson.
· BTS install and commissioning experience.
· Proven experience in completing handover documentation on-site.
· Experience in fault finding.
· RF Electromagnetic Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) Awareness;
· Optus, Vodafone, and Telstra online induction.
· High risk rigging licence.
· Construction White Card.
· First Aid certification.
· Driving Licence.
