The role

Reporting to the kitchen and venue management team, you will plan, prepare, and present high-quality food across our restaurant and events service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning menus and preparing and cooking food to a consistent standard for restaurant, functions, and events service
• Determining how food is presented and creating attractive plating and displays
• Estimating food and labour costs and ordering supplies
• Monitoring food quality, portion control, and stock rotation
• Enforcing food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards (including HACCP)
• Discussing menu and food preparation matters with management and kitchen staff
• Demonstrating techniques and advising and supervising kitchen staff during service
• Maintaining kitchen records and assisting with rostering as required
