Architectural Draftsperson

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing material, finish, fixture, fitting and joinery information required for architectural, interior and construction documentation packages.
• Maintain organised project files, drawing registers, document control records and version histories to ensure accurate project administration.
• Apply workplace procedures for quality assurance, confidentiality, file management, communication and professional presentation of design documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of architectural drafting practices, building design documentation, relevant software, construction methods, materials, NCC requirements and industry standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Holds an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher qualification in Architecture or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an Architectural Draftsperson, Building Drafting Officer, Building Designer, Drafting Technician or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and Archicad with the ability to produce detailed construction documentation
• Basic understanding of Enscape and D5 or similar rendering software would be beneficial
• Solid understanding of Australian construction standards and council approval processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve design and technical challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with clients and consultants
