Key Responsibilities

Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
Make, assemble, and cook food orders for in-store and delivery orders in a timely manner.
Conduct quality checks on all foodstuffs upon delivery and prior to use, ensuring freshness and suitability.
Prepare and modify meals to accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies
Portion and plate cooked dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in serving sizes and presentation.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels of all food items, conducting regular stocktakes, and placing orders with suppliers to ensure stocks are fresh and complete.
Ensure all food items are correctly labelled, dated, and stored in designated temperature-controlled facilities (cool rooms, freezers, dry stores) at the end of each shift to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination.
Follow HACCP standards by monitoring critical control points, recording temperatures and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff, apprentices, and kitchenhands, demonstrating correct food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety procedures to ensure a cohesive and efficient kitchen operation.

Skill & Experience

Minimum 1 year of related working experience required, more experience is highly preferred.
Certificates IV in hospitality Management or related qualification
