Job Description

Position Purpose

To provide tailored lending solutions to clients by assessing their financial position, structuring

suitable loan options, and managing the end-to-end mortgage process from initial consultation through to settlement.

The Mortgage Broker plays a key role in driving business growth, maintaining strong client

relationships, and ensuring high-quality loan submissions with strong approval outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new leads through referrals, networking, and marketing channels

Conduct client consultations to understand financial goals and borrowing needs

Build and maintain long-term client relationships

Provide ongoing support and retention strategies

Assess client financial position including income, liabilities, and assets

Recommend suitable loan products across multiple lenders

Provide clear loan comparisons and recommendations

Collect and verify client documentation Prepare and submit loan applications via lender portals (AOL, etc.)

Ensure high-quality submissions to reduce lender queries (MIRs)

Liaise with lenders, BDMs, and credit teams

Manage applications from submission through to settlement

Handle lender conditions and additional information requests

Coordinate with solicitors, valuers, and stakeholders

Ensure adherence to NCCP and responsible lending obligations

Conduct accurate fact finds and verify client information

Maintain compliance documentation and audit trails

Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements

Develop relationships with referral partners (agents, accountants, etc.)

Participate in marketing campaigns and business initiatives

Contribute to revenue and settlement targets

Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications

Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (preferred)

 

Skill & Experience

Experience

Minimum 1–3+ years in mortgage broking / banking / finance

Experience with residential and investment lending

Exposure to SMSF lending (preferred)

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Australian lending policies

Experience with Apply Online, lender portals, and CRM systems

Understanding of servicing calculators

Strong documentation and submission skills
