That Pool Shop is a fast growing Adelaide-based pool servicing business focused on providing high-quality, reliable service and building long-term relationships with our customers.

We’re a hands-on business, not a large corporate or franchise. We value people who are reliable, practical, take ownership of their work and want to build something long term.

We’re looking for a Pool Technician who wants more than just a job. Someone who is looking for stable employment, enjoys practical work and is keen to learn and develop their skills with us.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent, mobile residential pool servicing role across Adelaide.

You don’t need previous pool industry experience. We will train the right person from the ground up.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid and active Australian Driver’s Licence

Key Responsibilities

Your typical day will involve:

  • Travelling to residential pool properties across Adelaide

  • Completing approximately 8–10 service jobs per day

  • Cleaning and maintaining swimming pools

  • Testing and balancing pool water chemistry

  • Identifying and troubleshooting basic pool and equipment issues

  • Performing basic equipment maintenance and installations as you develop

  • Recording accurate job notes and service details

  • Communicating professionally with customers

  • Following our service, safety and quality procedures

The work is practical, hands-on and outdoors, so you’ll need to be comfortable being active throughout the day and working in different weather conditions.

Skill & Experience

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical, resourceful and genuinely interested in learning.

You’ll be a strong fit if you:

  • Have a proven history of staying in your previous roles, ideally 3+ years in recent positions

  • Are looking for a long-term career opportunity

  • Have good problem-solving and time management skills

  • Are mechanically minded and comfortable working with tools, machinery or equipment

  • Can troubleshoot basic problems and use common sense to work out what to check or try next

  • Are comfortable working independently once trained

  • Take ownership of your work rather than waiting to be told what to do

  • Learn quickly and are open to feedback

  • Take pride in doing a job properly

  • Are organised and able to manage a busy daily schedule

  • Are comfortable using a smartphone and learning apps such as ServiceM8

  • Have good communication skills and are comfortable dealing with customers

  • Are physically capable of working outdoors and performing hands-on tasks

  • Experience in a mechanical, maintenance, machinery, automotive, equipment or other hands-on environment will be highly regarded.
