Requirements for this role:

  • At least Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
  • Certificate IV in Automotive Diagnosis (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in automotive mechanical repairs and service.
  • Open Driver’s License.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner recharges, frontend alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems
  • Provide accurate repair recommendations
  • Inspect vehicles according to legal requirements for emissions and safety
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
  • Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
  • Assist senior technicians and service advisors as needed
  • Ensure all work meets dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Skill & Experience

  • Prior experience in express or general automotive service
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive both automatic and manual
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
