On-Site Industrial Blaster/Painter
Position Type: Hourly / Subcontractor (Must have own ABN)
Pay Terms: Invoice on Monday, paid on Wednesday
Schedule: Shift work (on-site requirements apply)

Position Overview
We need a reliable and experienced Industrial Blaster/Painter for active on-site projects. You will prepare surfaces using industrial sandblasting equipment and apply high-performance protective coatings, including multi-component epoxy systems. This role requires shift work to meet project deadlines. You must operate safely, work independently or in a crew, and hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN) to submit weekly invoices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform surface preparation using abrasive blasting (sandblasting) equipment to required cleanliness standards (e.g., Sa 2.5 / SSPC-SP 10).
  • Mix and apply industrial wet paints, specializing in high-build epoxy coatings, polyurethane, and primers using airless spray equipment or conventional methods.
  • Inspect surfaces before and after application to ensure strict adherence to quality and coating thickness specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain blasting and painting rigs safely.
  • Adhere strictly to on-site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
  • Complete shift work as scheduled by the site supervisor.

Skill & Experience

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience in industrial abrasive blasting and wet epoxy painting on-site.
  • Must hold a current, active ABN (Australian Business Number).
  • Demonstrated track record of high reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work rotating or fixed shift work as required by project sites.
  • Relevant industry tickets or certifications (e.g., Blast and Paint certification, Confined Space, Working at Heights, White Card) are highly preferred.
  • Own reliable transport to and from the work site.
