Job Description

Khoweiss Brothers Pty Ltd T/A Rustica Cucina is seeking an experienced Chef to join their team in Beaumaris, VIC 3193. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Italian dishes, including pizzas, pasta, risotto, seafood, meat dishes, salads and desserts, while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and kitchen operations.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum Certificate IV qualification or equivalent studies,

At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience, is required.

The restaurant offers a variety of pizzas, gourmet pizzas, pasta, risotto, seafood, meat dishes, salads and desserts, with a focus on quality food and a welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes, including pizzas, pasta, risotto, seafood, meat dishes, salads and desserts according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepare and cook different types of pizzas, including traditional, gourmet and specialty pizzas, ensuring consistent taste, quality and presentation.
  • Prepare ingredients such as meat, seafood, vegetables, herbs, sauces, pasta and pizza toppings by cutting, chopping, marinating and portioning as required.
  • Cook pasta, risotto, seafood and meat dishes while maintaining proper cooking methods, portion sizes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and ensure all meals are prepared and served within required timeframes.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Check stock levels, assist with ordering ingredients and help minimise food wastage and control kitchen costs.
  • Work closely with kitchen and restaurant staff during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations and timely preparation of dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders.

Skill & Experience

A minimum Certificate IV qualification or equivalent studies is required, along with at least 1–2 years of relevant work experience in a related field. Candidates should demonstrate practical knowledge, relevant skills, and the ability to apply their experience effectively in the workplace.
