Job Description

Deliver inquiry-based instruction aligned with A Level / WACE standards. Design safe lab experiments, enforce safety protocols, and assess student progress via formative/summative evaluations. Differentiate for diverse learners, integrate data-driven interventions, and mentor science fair projects. Collaborate with department on curriculum mapping. Maintain chemical inventory and MSDS compliance. Communicate student growth to parents and administration.

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Responsible for teaching and lesson preparation for subjects in the UK and Australian curricula, delivering lessons in both languages(English and Mandarin), and ensuring that teaching objectives are met and high standards of teaching quality are maintained;
  2. Participate in the school’s teaching and research activities and complete related tasks as required;
  3. Maintain good and effective communication with pupils and parents, monitor pupils’ academic progress and personal development, and produce academic progress reports as required to ensure parental satisfaction;
  4. Demonstrate a strong spirit of teamwork, maintaining effective communication with colleagues in the teaching team, management and experts from the Western Australian Department of Education to collectively enhance teaching quality;
  5. Keep abreast of the latest policies from the examination board regarding the subject, understand the latest examination trends, adjust teaching plans and ensure the effectiveness of teaching;
  6. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to serve as form tutors and undertake some student management responsibilities.

Skill & Experience

Job Requirements:

  1. A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant subject;
  2. At least one year’s teaching experience in international curricula such as A-levels or the Australian senior secondary curriculum (except for outstanding recent graduates);
  3. Familiarity with the curriculum syllabus and examination assessment criteria is an advantage;
  4. Good English and Chinese in reading and speaking skills; ability to teach in both languages; candidates with excellent TOEFL or IELTS scores or overseas study experience are preferred;
  5. Charismatic, with a strong sense of humour and the ability to engage students; adept at creating a lively classroom atmosphere; capable of explaining the content, format and examination techniques specified in the subject syllabus in a clear and accessible manner;
  6. Able to cope with work pressure and adapt to a demanding workload;
  7. Passionate about education, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and dedication; full of enthusiasm and vitality; committed to teaching and nurturing students; possessing a positive outlook on life and strong teamwork skills;
