Job description

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Dewatering Fitter / Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to contribute their expertise to a growing and reputable organization in Canning Vale

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine job requirements.
Fitting, assembling, and installing machinery and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
Using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and other relevant equipment to perform fitting tasks.
Aligning and leveling machinery and equipment using various methods.
Testing the operation of assembled machinery and equipment for proper functioning.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults and performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
Fabricating and modifying metal parts as required.
Working with various materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborating effectively with other tradespeople and team members.
Potentially training or mentoring apprentices or less experienced fitters.

Skill & Experience

Skills and Experience:

Successful completion of a relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Fitter (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade).
Demonstrated experience 5 years working as a Fitter in a relevant industry.
Strong ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong commitment to safety.
