Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Package:

  • $71,600- $74,000 per annum (full-time equivalent)
  • Penalty rates (weekends, evenings, public holidays)
  • Superannuation paid separately (11–12%)

Role Overview

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Carer to join our growing team. You will care and support NDIS participants to achieve their daily goals of independence through assisting them with activities of daily living, personal care, and community access.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompanying people with disabilities during daily activities and community participation.
  • Assisting clients with mobility, transfers, and maintaining independence.
  • Supporting clients with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and daily care routines.
  • Preparing meals and assisting with food-related tasks according to individual needs.
  • Providing companionship, friendship, and emotional support.
  • Organising and supporting social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Performing household tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Assisting with shopping, appointments, and running errands.
  • Providing in-home support and care based on the individual requirements of clients.
  • Implementing positive behaviour supports and care plans.

Skill & Experience

Qualifications & Experience (Essential/Preferred)

We welcome applicants with:

  • Certificate IV in Disability / Community Services
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum accepted)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
  • Experience with Medication Assistance
  • Understanding of person-centred approach
  • Experience working with people living with functional or mental disability

 

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in disability support
  • Relevant qualifications
  • Competent English (IELTS/PTE equivalent if required)
  • Ability to meet Australian health and character requirements
  • Commitment to full-time employment
  •   Can provide at least two solid references
  • commit at least 2-3 shifts per week and willing to take short shifts
  • Has flexible availability and commitment to an ongoing roster
