Job Description

Casual & Permanent Opportunities | Sydney (Community & Gymea Bay Residential Facility)JJ Care Services is seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers and Nurses to join our growing team across both Home & Community Care and our Residential Facility in Gymea Bay.

We have immediate starts available, with both casual and permanent opportunities for the right candidates.This is an opportunity to work across diverse care environments, supporting clients with complex and high-care needs, including dementia, cognitive disability, physical disability, and behavioural support requirements.

About the RolesWe are currently hiring across two service areas:Community Support (Home & Community Care)

Supporting clients in their homes and out in the community
Travel required between client locations
Flexible shifts across a 24-hour roster
Shift lengths vary (minimum 2 hours, with potential for multiple shifts per day)

Residential Support (Gymea Bay Facility)

Facility-based role providing 24/7 care
Structured team environment with clinical oversight
Rotating roster including day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
Opportunity to transition into permanent roles

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing personal care (showering, toileting, continence, mobility support)
Supporting daily living tasks (meal prep, cleaning, household support)
Assisting with community access, appointments, and activities
Following care plans and allied health/clinical directions
Completing accurate documentation and case notes
Supporting clients with high and complex care needs

Residential roles may also include:

Medication assistance and clinical tasks under RN supervision
Observations, monitoring, and other delegated care tasks

Skill & Experience

Key Requirements

Experience in disability, aged care, community, or high-care environments
Confidence in delivering hands-on personal care
Ability to work independently and/or within a team
Strong communication and documentation skills
Reliable, flexible, and committed to quality care

Essential Criteria

NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working With Children Check (Paid)
Current First Aid & CPR
Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
Valid working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)

Role Expectations (Important)These roles are hands-on and physically active, and may involve:

High levels of personal care
Supporting clients with complex needs
Travel between clients (community roles)
Rotating rosters including overnight shifts (residential roles)

These roles may not suit applicants seeking minimal care duties, fixed hours, or low-intensity support work.
