About the role:

Due to sustained growth and continued success, Propel Marine is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician / ETO to join our successful Technical team and play a vital role in our expansion.

You will be actively involved in field activities and participating within a team of experienced professionals.

This opportunity is well suited to someone with highly developed analytical skills and a genuine service focus.

There will be interstate and intrastate travel involved as demanded by the nature of the Marine industry.

· Qualification in Electrical Engineering

· At least 3 years experience in an Electro Technical role in the Marine sector

· Experience with Bulk Carriers advantageous

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Conversant with local rules, regulations and terminal operations.

· Australian Citizen / Australian Resident / Australian Work Visa Holder.

· Valid Driver’s Licence.

· Be able to pass Medical/ Drug and alcohol tests.

Job Activities:

Electrical and Technical consultancy

Testing, calibration, modification and repair of marine electronic equipment

Estimating material costs and quantity of marine electronic equipment

Safety and compliance inspections of marine electronic equipment

Procurement of marine electronics

Liaising with clients and stakeholders

Drafting professional reports
