Job Description
1Medical is a specialist medical recruitment company that provides doctors to hospitals and clinics across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Due to continued growth 1Medical are seeking a General Accountant to join our Finance Team.
About the Role
· Encouraged to grow and learn professionally.
· Full-Time position (flexibility for studying students).
· Preparation of BAS and individual tax returns including compilation of associated workpapers ready for review.
· Based on your skill level and willingness to grow your knowledge
· Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships; and
· Assist with tax related tasks as required.
· Assist with the upkeep and positive health of cash flow across the business by analysing aged debtors & assisting in lowering our debtor days.

Key Responsibilities
· General accounting procedures for day to running of the accounts function such as processing of timesheets, checking input from other accounts team members, assisting consultants across the business with accounts queries, speaking with external clients around accounts queries etc.
Skill & Experience
Key Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
