Irrigation Assistant

Full-time, ongoing · Geraldton, Western Australia

About us

We are an established horticultural production business based in Geraldton, Western Australia, growing and supplying high-quality Continental cucumbers, capsicum, and other fresh produce. We are seeking a reliable Irrigation Assistant to help operate and maintain irrigation systems and support day-to-day production.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Operate and monitor irrigation and fertigation systems
Assist with installation, repair and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure
Monitor soil moisture and water application and report faults
Assist with general production tasks as required
Follow WHS requirements and use personal protective equipment

Skill & Experience

About you

A relevant AQF Certificate II (or equivalent) and at least 1 year’s relevant experience; or at least 2 years’ relevant experience
Practical mechanical aptitude
Able to work outdoors across a range of conditions
Able to follow directions and work in a team
Reliable and safety-focused

Remuneration & hours

Guaranteed annual salary from $71550 p.a. plus superannuation. Full-time, based on a [46]-hour week — [38] ordinary hours plus approximately [8] hours overtime per week — with the guaranteed annual salary inclusive of overtime. Paid in accordance with the applicable Award; higher rates commensurate with skills and experience
