Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to support our engineering and production teams in Canning Vale.

Job Description

In this role, you will assist engineers with testing, evaluating and improving mechanical systems used in caravan manufacturing. You will support the development and optimisation of chassis structures, suspension systems and mechanical components to ensure our caravans meet strict safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing and evaluation of caravan chassis, suspension and mechanical components
• Support engineers in product development and prototype testing
• Conduct measurements, inspections and mechanical performance assessments
• Prepare technical reports, testing documentation and engineering records
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues during manufacturing and assembly
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering instructions
• Ensure mechanical components meet quality standards and Australian compliance requirements
• Support implementation of improvements to production processes and mechanical systems

About You

• Experience working with mechanical systems in manufacturing, automotive or engineering environments
• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary engineering team

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Minimum 2–3 years relevant industry experience
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, trailer or caravan industries highly regarded
