Metallurgical Technician

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar metallurgical or materials testing role, with solid practical experience testing materials within a mineral/metal process and refinery environment.
• Licences: Possession of (or the immediate ability to acquire) a Radiation Safety Licence and a Queensland Driver’s Licence (manual preferred).
• Technical Skills: Sound understanding of process control systems , mechanical aptitude or a strong interest in hands-on technical roles , and a proven ability to source, gather, interpret, and communicate quantitative and qualitative data.
• Personal Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and possessing a reliable and consistent work ethic. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
• Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical examination, including a drug and alcohol screen.
