Our Client CITY AND RURAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES PTY LTD T/A CITY AND RURAL TYRES is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join their team located in Moorabbin VIC 3189.

CITY AND RURAL TYRE, is a reputable automotive business based in Moorabbin, VIC. The company provides vehicle servicing, repairs, tyre fitting, wheel balancing, and general automotive maintenance, delivering reliable service and quality workmanship to its customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles using appropriate diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
  • Perform scheduled vehicle servicing, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks and replacement of worn components.
  • Examine, repair and replace brake systems and related components to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
  • Inspect, repair and fit tyres, wheels and suspension-related components, including wheel balancing and alignment checks.
  • Test, maintain and replace batteries, charging systems, starters and other basic automotive electrical components.
  • Dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions and other vehicle assemblies as required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct road tests and final inspections to verify repairs and ensure vehicles meet performance and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, communicate repair requirements to customers and provide technical advice when required.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

Skill & Experience

Applicants must hold a relevant Certificate III qualification and have at least one year of relevant industry experience, with the skills and ability to perform the role effectively.
