Join Our Growing Allied Health Team 

At Connect Direct Therapy, we are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred therapy services that empower individuals to achieve their goals and participate fully in their communities. 

As our therapy services continue to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our expanding allied health team. Working alongside our Speech Therapist and Allied Health Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering holistic therapy support and helping shape the future direction of our therapy services. 

About the Role

This role provides the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults with a range of disabilities, developmental delays, and support needs. You will deliver assessments, interventions, and recommendations that support participants to maximise their independence, participation and quality of life. 

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to service development, collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment, and build strong relationships with participants, families, support workers, and community stakeholders. 

Desirable

  • Experience working within the NDIS environment. 
  • Experience with assistive technology, sensory regulation, functional capacity assessments, or home modifications.
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities.

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments, including functional capacity assessments. 
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans and interventions.
  • Complete assistive technology and equipment assessments and recommendations.
  • Undertake home and environmental assessments where required. 
  • Prepare professional reports for participants, families, support coordinators, and funding bodies. 
  • Support participants to build independence in daily living, self-care, social participation, and community engagement. 
  • Collaborate with our Speech Therapist, Allied Health Assistant, support teams, and external stakeholders. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development. 

Skill & Experience

Essential Requirements

 

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence. 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card/Yellow Card.
  • Working with Children Check/Blue Card.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
