Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in clients’ homes, schools, workplaces and community settings.
  • Develop individualised, goal-focused therapy plans based on client needs and priorities.
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve independence, participation and quality of life.
  • Assess functional capacity across activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), mobility, cognition, sensory processing and community participation.
  • Prescribe and recommend assistive technology and equipment where clinically appropriate.
  • Complete home environment assessments and provide recommendations for home modifications.
  • Support clients with upper limb rehabilitation, fine motor skills, sensory regulation, cognitive strategies and functional independence.
  • Provide falls prevention strategies and environmental risk assessments.
  • Educate clients, families and carers to maximise therapy outcomes and independence.
  • Monitor progress and review intervention plans to ensure goals remain relevant and achievable.

About the Role

As a community-based Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide occupational therapy services in clients’ homes and community settings
  • Work with participants under NDIS and private clients
  • Deliver goal-oriented, evidence-based interventions
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other allied health professionals
  • Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and reports

Skill & Experience

What We’re Looking For

· Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Occupational Therapist
  • Full AHPRA registration, OR Eligibility for limited registration in Australia
  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (or willingness to obtain one upon arrival)
  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based occupational therapy practice
  • Confidence managing a mobile caseload independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organisational ability
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to Australian clinical standards
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate support
  • Good communication skills
