Seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team at EV Strengthening Communities, a leading Not For Profit organization.
Reporting to the CFO and based in Ringwood, you will need prior experience using ADP and/or MYOB software, prior to the business transitioning to Elmo as a software platform.

Key Responsibilities
Role Description
This role is a part-time (20 hours per week, worked over three days) role based in Ringwood, VIC, responsible for accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for EV Strengthening Communities .
Given the sensitivity of payroll information, this role requires the appointee to be on-site for the entirety of the assigned work period.
Day-to-day tasks include maintaining employee payroll records, calculating wages, overtime and leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and company policies. The role involves reconciling payroll reports, managing superannuation and other statutory obligations, and supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities.
You will respond to employee payroll queries, collaborate with HR and Finance on onboarding, offboarding, and contract changes, and assist with process improvements and system updates. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to delivering accurate service.
Skill & Experience
Qualifications and experience
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing, including interpreting awards, calculating entitlements, and managing superannuation and statutory obligations.
Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP and MYOB) , Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements, taxation, and compliance standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information and respond to employee queries in a clear and professional manner.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet firm deadlines.
A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business is advantageous.
You must have the legal right to work in Australia and have, or be able to successfully acquire:
– a current Working With Children Check; and
– a National Police Check.
