Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Support Worker to assist participants with their daily living and community-access needs.

Available Shifts

The successful applicant must be available for:

  • Mondays: 6:30 am–9:30 am – supporting a participant with a spinal cord injury in a 2:1 support environment
  • Mondays: 2:00 pm–5:00 pm – supporting a second participant
  • Fortnightly Tuesdays: 11:00 am–2:00 pm

There may also be opportunities for additional shifts.

Mandatory Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Check
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Manual Handling and Infection Control training, or willingness to complete
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Right to work in Australia

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful personal care and daily-living assistance
  • Assist with manual handling and hoist transfers when required
  • Support participants with mobility, appointments, and community access
  • Follow individual support plans and risk assessments
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with participants, families, and the support team
  • Complete shift notes and incident reports as required
  • Work collaboratively with other support workers and service providers

Skill & Experience

  • Previous disability support experience is preferred
  • Experience supporting participants with spinal cord injuries is highly regarded
  • Manual handling and hoist experience is desirable
  • Calm, patient, respectful, and professional approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to regular shifts
