Position Available: Chef

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 + super
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Relevant qualifications and/or at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a high-quality establishment
  • Sound knowledge of food, beverages, and wine
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays

Skill & Experience

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant’s standards
  • Maintain consistency, presentation, and portion control during service
  • Assist with mise en place and daily kitchen preparation
  • Work across various kitchen sections including grill, larder, pasta, sauce, or pastry
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times
  • Assist with stock rotation, storage, and minimising wastage
  • Monitor food quality and report any issues to senior chefs
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams during service
