Position Available: Section Waiter

Salary: $65,400 – $80,000 + super
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional food and beverage service in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage a designated section efficiently during service
  • Maintain strong sequence of service standards and attention to detail
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and confidently
  • Carry multiple plates and trays safely and efficiently
  • Develop sound knowledge of menus, daily specials, wine, and beverages
  • Provide recommendations and answer guest questions confidently
  • Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset throughout service
  • Build positive relationships with guests and create memorable dining experiences
  • Handle guest requests and complaints professionally
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant at all times
  • Follow RSA, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards

Skill & Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Section Waiter in a fine dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverages, and wine
  • Ability to carry 3 plates efficiently
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Ability to stay organised and perform well under pressure
  • A valid RSA
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
