Cooks – Indian Restaurant

Permanent and Full-Time

Indian Rasoi Albury (DIVYAJYOTI 2 PTY LTD) is a busy restaurant located in Albury, New South Wales 2640. The business is seeking full-time Cooks with experience in preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from North Indian, South Indian and Mughlai cuisines.

Remuneration and Conditions:

An annual remuneration between $71,550 and $75,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the right candidate, depending on skills and experience. Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119).

Key Responsibilities

preparing and cooking dishes using a variety of techniques and methods
seasoning, garnishing and plating dishes
competent and safe use of all kitchen equipment and tools
strong understanding of food hygiene, health, and safety requirements
estimating, ordering, and receiving stock and supplies
freezing and preserving foods to reduce wastage

Skill & Experience

A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification or another acceptable trade qualification, or at least 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications
A minimum of 1 years of relevant full-time work experience
Strong knowledge of Indian groceries, spices, and traditional preparations
