About the Role

On behalf of our client, a respected aged care provider in regional NSW, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team. Our client is committed to delivering person-centred care that respects the dignity and independence of every resident, with a strong focus on creating a supportive, home-like environment. This role offers the opportunity to work within a close-knit community, where your clinical expertise will directly enhance the quality of life for older Australians.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in line with best-practice nursing standards.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team—including GPs, allied health professionals, and care coordinators—to ensure seamless, integrated care delivery and timely adjustments to treatment.
Administer medications, perform complex clinical interventions (e.g., wound management, pain control), and closely monitor residents’ responses to treatments, documenting progress and escalating concerns as needed.
Lead health promotion initiatives, such as falls prevention programs and nutrition education, to proactively maintain residents’ wellbeing and reduce hospital admissions.
Provide clear, compassionate guidance to residents and their families, explaining care options, treatment plans, and health status to support informed decision-making.
Supervise and mentor Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Workers, and other support staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, delegation of tasks, and ongoing professional development.

Skill & Experience

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in aged care, with demonstrated competency in chronic disease management and end-of-life care.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to coordinate teams and resolve clinical issues.
Commitment to continuous improvement and familiarity with aged care accreditation standards.
Relevant qualification to above field.
