Treeby Local is a local restaurant located in Treeby, Western Australia. The business offers a variety of Italian and Australian-style meals, including pizzas, burgers, pasta, chicken, seafood, starters, salads and sides. The restaurant focuses on preparing fresh, quality food and providing friendly and efficient service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Italian and Australian-style dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and recipes.
  • Prepare pizzas, burgers, chicken dishes, seafood, pasta, starters, salads, sides and other menu items.
  • Prepare ingredients including meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables by cutting, marinating, portioning and seasoning.
  • Ensure food is cooked to the required standards, with appropriate taste, quality, portion size and presentation.
  • Assist with menu planning, developing new dishes and preparing daily specials using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Monitor food stock, assist with ordering supplies and ensure proper storage of food and ingredients.
  • Coordinate kitchen preparation and cooking during busy service periods to ensure orders are completed efficiently.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking methods, portion control and presentation.
  • Monitor food wastage and assist with maintaining efficient food and kitchen costs.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout the kitchen.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils and preparation areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Follow all relevant food safety, workplace health and safety and restaurant procedures.

Skill & Experience

The successful applicant must hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and have at least one year of relevant experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen or restaurant.
