Job Description

Dullat Bricklaying Pty Ltd, is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join their professional team in Augustine Heights, Queensland. The successful candidate will undertake bricklaying and masonry work while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.

About Company

Dullat Bricklaying Pty Ltd is a professional bricklaying business based in Augustine Heights, Queensland. The company specialises in quality bricklaying and masonry services for residential and construction projects, with a focus on reliable workmanship, attention to detail, safety, and completing projects to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lay bricks, pre-cut stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
  • Measure, cut, and shape bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to the required specifications using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and brick-cutting equipment.
  • Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications to determine measurements, layouts, materials, and work requirements.
  • Mix and prepare mortar and other materials, and ensure surfaces are properly prepared before commencing masonry work.
  • Check and maintain accurate vertical and horizontal alignment using spirit levels, plumb lines, and other measuring equipment.
  • Repair, restore, and maintain existing brickwork, stonework, concrete blockwork, and other masonry structures as required.
  • Safely operate and maintain masonry tools, equipment, and machinery in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Work effectively with other tradespeople, site supervisors, contractors, and apprentices to coordinate work and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas by properly storing tools, equipment, and materials and removing construction waste as required.

Skill & Experience

The successful applicant must hold a relevant qualification in Bricklaying or a related trade and have a minimum of 1–2 years of relevant industry experience.
